Scott Gregory

Bodyworker, Creator, Facilitator
Across disciplines, I'm cultivating openness, authenticity, embodiment, mindfulness, and deep listening for the truth and beauty in how things are flowing in the moment.

In search of a sense of alignment with my community and world, I'm persistently questioning convenient explanations and seeking out diverse perspectives.

Bodywork

I've been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Texas since 2015 (MT123847)

Beyond the reduction of pain and the increase of function and enjoyment in the body, my focus is on helping clients experience nervous system attunement, regulation, and relational re-patterning around touch.

Attunement

During sessions, I'm listening for and responding to changes in my client's muscle activation, pulse, breathing, and more. As my client responds to me responding to them responding to me, and so on, a high-quality connection called Attunement forms.

Regulation

A regulated nervous system is a nervous system experiencing the feeling of safety. When we are dysregulated, we can regulate by sending signals of safety back and forth with another person. I stay attuned and regulated, which keeps the channel open for Co-regulation.

Re-patterning

By having clear, easeful conversations about boundaries and requests before the session, and then responding mindfully to all the communications that I receive during the session, I help my clients experience an interaction that shows their body that it can be safe to re. This embodied experience can shift feelings we're holding in our body from past experiences, re-patterning how we navigate this kind of interaction. The result is more choice and empowerment in relationships.

Because of my experiences and training in mindfulness, communication, dance, neurodivergence, and trauma, I provide sessions that are effective even if:

  • You're nervous about massage

  • You experience sensory processing differences

  • You've had bad experiences with massage in the past

  • You need an extremely soft or sensitive touch

If you need a massage therapist who is paying very close attention, has powerful intuition, and can meet complex requests, please book a consultation call.

Full Body Massage Treatment

75-90 minutes

$125-$150

Combining techniques from Swedish, Thai, Shiatsu, Trigger Point Therapy, Dermoneuromodulation, and more, this session is ideal for regular maintenance when there are no specific pain or mobility issues.

Full Body + Micromovement Unwinding Technique

For a deeper session that builds on the Full Body Treatment, add Micromovement Unwinding (MU). This original technique, influenced by the above disciplines as well as explorations in moving meditation with others, creates deep relaxation by meeting the subtle energy stored in your nervous system.

I think of the body in terms of movement centers for this kind of session. The centers are the neck, the right and left shoulders, and the right and left hips. We apply MU to one movement center at a time, and you can choose to address any number of the five movement centers in your session. Timings are approximate for this kind of session.

Full Body

+1 center  - $150 ~90 min

+2 centers - $175 ~105 min

+3 centers - $200 ~120 min

+4 centers - $225 ~135 min

+5 centers - $250 ~150 min

Focused Support

45-90 minutes

$75-$150

For client experiencing acute issues of pain or restricted movement, this session is focused on supporting the troubled area.

Any of the techniques mentioned above may be used.

I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist practicing in Austin, Texas, offering a distinctive session that meets and cares for your nervous system on a deep level.

I'm a videographer and instillation artist, creating immersive video environments that invite viewers to slow down, move more intentionally, and feel themselves more.

WORKSHOPS

Racism isn't simply a set of bad ideas that live in the mind. Those ideas are inseparable from deep wounding in the emotional body. Connecting the dots between the physiology of generational complex trauma and the harmful behavioral and systemic manifestations of racism, we learn how to address racism in ourselves, be more effective in calling other people in, and distinguish between good intentions and good praxis.

Exploring ourselves with other people creates connection fast and gives us the opportunity to notice the patterns that keep us separate or in unsatisfying connections. Build awareness and skill around attachment styles, boundaries, difficult and vulnerable conversations, parts work (Internal Family Systems), making requests/offers, communicating about emotions, and more.

The false story of separation between mind and body is unraveling, but many of us are still left with a nervous system that needs integration. Practicing movement and mindfulness in connection and processing that together helps us map out our inner landscapes.
